Walnut, cherry 22 1/2″h x 13 1/4″w x 6 1/8″d
This cabinet gets its name from the age of the walnut. Actually, I have no idea how old it is, but it was sitting for untold years in a barn when the person that I bought it from bought it 20 years ago, so it is at least 40 years old. I have many many many wide boards of it. The cabinet panel is a single board. I have also used the walnut to make a fire place mantle and for the base of the Oregon walnut dining room table. Because of its age, the wood works like butter. I could plane it all day. The knob is hand carved bubinga.
